Pat Connaughton Exercises Player Option with the Bucks

Milwaukee Bucks guard Pat Connaughton has decided to exercise his player option for $9.4 million for the 2025-26 season, according to sources. The deadline to make this decision was June 24.

Connaughton, 32, completed his seventh season with the Bucks last year. However, he recorded his lowest minutes average since the 2016-17 season (14.7) and participated in only 41 games.

Selected in the second round of the 2015 draft, Connaughton joined the Bucks as a free agent in 2018, after three seasons in Portland. He became a key player in the team’s rotation over the following years and was one of the few members of the 2021 champion Bucks team who remained on the roster last season.

In 2023, Connaughton signed a three-year, $28 million contract with Milwaukee.
