Devin Booker Exits with Injury in Suns’ Victory Over Lakers

Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker left Monday night’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers due to a right groin injury. Booker played the first 10 minutes of the first quarter before being substituted, with Phoenix losing 27-26. During that time, he scored 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting, as well as 3 assists and 2 rebounds.

I think it was at the end of a play with Jaxson Hayes, where there was chest-to-chest contact. He fell and I don’t think he felt it immediately, but he mentioned it a couple of plays later, and obviously he was seen stretching. We’ll check it tomorrow and have more information.

Jordan Ott, Suns coach
Booker arrived at Monday’s game having played in all 21 of Phoenix’s games, leading the Suns in points (25.7) and assists (6.9). Without Booker, the Suns took the lead, outscoring the Lakers 35-21 in the second quarter to go into halftime with a 66-52 lead. Phoenix has a 13-9 record under Ott, the team’s coach in his first year, and is seventh in the Western Conference.
