CHICAGO – Arkansas Razorbacks guard Boogie Fland has decided to withdraw his name from the NBA draft, according to his agent Mike Miller.

Fland, who was present at the NBA combine, will not participate in the rest of the event.

The 6’2″ player was ranked number 42 in ESPN’s NBA draft rankings and was projected as a second-round pick in the most recent mock drafts.

Fland entered the transfer portal just before the deadline at the end of April, becoming one of the most prominent options available.

Sources close to the player indicated a strong interest from the University of Florida as a possible destination for Fland, as the Gators seek a playmaker to pair in the backcourt with Princeton transfer Xaivian Lee.

Considered a five-star recruit and McDonald’s All-American in the 2024 class, Fland was one of the top freshmen in the country during the first half of last season.

The New York native averaged 15.1 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.4 rebounds in the first 18 games of the season, shooting 36.5% from three-point range, but suffered a right hand injury in mid-January that forced him to miss most of the rest of the season.

The injury occurred against Florida on January 11, but he played in the following two games before stopping until March.

Fland returned in the NCAA tournament in a substitute role, playing an average of 17.7 minutes against Kansas, St. John’s, and Texas Tech.
