Bismack Biyombo Returns to the Spurs on a One-Year Contract
Free agent center Bismack Biyombo has agreed to return to the San Antonio Spurs on a one-year deal, according to sources close to the situation.
The agreement between the Spurs and Biyombo’s representatives at Wasserman was finalized for his fifteenth season in the NBA, after the player averaged 5.1 points and 5.6 rebounds in 28 games last season.
Biyombo joined the Spurs in February and now returns to serve as a substitute center, behind Victor Wembanyama and Luke Kornet.
Since being selected in the seventh position of the 2011 NBA draft, Biyombo has played for seven teams in the league. Throughout his career, he has averaged 5.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 19.5 minutes per game, participating in 867 games (377 as a starter).
