Johann Zarco Renews with LCR Honda until 2027

French MotoGP rider Johann Zarco has extended his contract with the Italian satellite team LCR Honda for two more seasons, ensuring his stay until the end of 2027. The official confirmation comes from the team led by Lucio Cecchinello. This renewal comes after two years of collaboration with Honda Racing Corporation (HRC). The Japanese manufacturer has recognized the competitiveness of the Zarco-LCR duo, highlighting their combination of experience and solid performance for Honda. A crucial aspect of this agreement is that Zarco will continue to be a direct HRC rider, maintaining his status as an official rider. This guarantees him access to the same technical specifications as the factory team, including updates and parallel developments. Furthermore, he will continue to represent the brand in the prestigious Suzuka 8 Hours race, where he recently achieved victory.

I am very happy to confirm that I will continue at LCR for the next two years and this is important because we have big goals to achieve and great opportunities for 2027.

Zarco recalled that, upon signing with Honda at the end of 2023, he did not anticipate the “second boost” that provided him with “the energy to secure another two-year contract”. The rider also added: “We have achieved a victory with Lucio -Cecchinello- and the team, and it would be fantastic to relive that experience, so we are determined to continue fighting to achieve good results after Honda has provided great support to LCR in the last two years, and we believe that we can continue to grow and develop the bike thanks to our hard work.”
