Santo Domingo – Dominican baseball deeply regrets the loss of Gustavo Talmaré, a 14-year-old prospect, who passed away on Saturday, August 16th.The cause of his death was drowning in a lagoon near the academy where he trained.

A Promising Future Cut Short

Talmaré stood out as one of the brightest figures in national baseball, thanks to his outstanding participation in the first edition of the Caribbean Series Kids 2024, where he was recognized as the Most Valuable Player.In addition, he shone in the 2023 U-12 Baseball World Cup, establishing himself as the most outstanding Dominican player.I was devastated to learn about it.
