University Baseball League All-Star Game: Northeast vs. Southeast in Puerto Plata
This Sunday, the University Baseball League celebrates its anticipated All-Star Game, marking the end of the first half of its fourth edition. The event will take place in the renovated José Briceño stadium in Puerto Plata, starting at 10:30 in the morning.

The Northeast team will be made up of players from the universities UNAPEC, PUCMM, UTESA and ISA. For their part, the Southeast will be represented by athletes from the universities O&M, ITLA and UASD. Each team will have the participation of eight outstanding selected players.
An exciting competition is anticipated between both teams, in an event organized by the Directorate of the National Baseball Commissioner, where the BanReservas Cup is at stake.
Engineer Guillermo Pérez, president of the José Briceño park volunteer group, plans to make the symbolic launch that will start the game.
The recently remodeled José Briceño stadium was rebuilt at a cost exceeding 200 million pesos and completed its work in October 2024.The End of the First Half of the Tournament
The All-Star Game serves as the highlight of the first half of the fourth version of the University Baseball League, which this year pays tribute to former major leaguer Stanley Javier, an emblematic figure of Dominican sports.
Regarding the divisions, Unapec leads the table in the East with a 5-0 record, followed by ITLA (4-1). In the South, UASD leads with 4-2, while O&M is in second place with 3-4. In the North, PUCMM dominates with 4-2, and UTESA is in second place.
Unapec stands out with the best run differential, scoring 38 and allowing only 6. ITLA leads in runs scored with 58, receiving 24. UTESA also presents a positive record with 40 runs scored and 25 allowed. UCE registers the lowest performance in this aspect, with 19 runs scored and 74 allowed.
