The Americans demonstrated their superiority with partials of 25-12, 25-19 and 25-14, thus consolidating a perfect group stage, with two victories without conceding any set. This victory secured the first place in Group A for the United States, which is now waiting to know its final position for the next phase of the championship. Puerto Rico, which finished second with a 1-1 record, also advanced to the quarterfinals. The Dominican Republic, for its part, will compete for the seventh to ninth place positions. The American team displayed its offensive power from the start, taking a considerable 13-3 lead thanks to the attacks of Mesa Jameson, Jael Smith, and Naomi Stevenson. The Dominican Republic, for its part, failed to counter the rival’s pace. In the second set, the Dominicans raised their level of play, showing greater offensive stability thanks to the spikes of Shanty Pérez. The third set began with the Dominican Republic leading 7-2, driven by Pérez and captain Leandry Almonte. However, the United States reacted quickly, tying the score 9-9 with effective blocks from Madlen Gloessner and Coady. From that moment on, the United States regained control and secured the victory with a powerful spike from McKenzie Andrews. The match statistics reflected the American dominance in attacks (41-22), blocks (9-1), and direct serves (10-1). Although the Dominican Republic committed fewer errors, with 12 compared to the Americans’ 22, it was not enough to change the outcome.
