Southern Titans Regain Course with Victory against Eastern Suns

SAN CRISTÓBAL – The Titans of the South achieved an important victory by defeating the Soles del Este with a score of 89-82, breaking a streak of three consecutive losses. The match, corresponding to the regular season of the National Basketball League, took place in the sports complex of this city. With this victory, the Titans improve their record to 2-4, while the Suns fall to 1-3 in the standings. The partial scores of the game were: 34-21, 23-18, 18-24 and 14-21, showing the intensity of the game. Newcomer Romeao Ferguson led the Titans’ offense with 20 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Other key players were Jhonatan Araujo, who achieved a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds, as well as six assists; Dana Tate Jr., with 17 units; Shaun Williams, with 11 points and eight assists; and Xavier Reyes, contributing 14 points. On the Soles’ side, Jonathan Bello stood out with 25 points and eight rebounds, followed by Jean Carlos Quezada with 19 points and seven rebounds. Terry Larrier contributed 11 units and Daruin Rosario added 10. The key to the Titans’ triumph was their performance in the first half, where they achieved a 57-39 lead thanks to an effective offense and dominance in rebounds. Despite the Suns’ reaction in the second half, who managed to get within four points, the home team knew how to remain calm and secure the victory. Regarding the statistics, the Titans had a 47% field goal percentage and dominated the rebounds with 39-29, in addition to registering 26 assists against their rival’s 16.
