The Dodgers and INEFI team up to transform school sports into War!

SAN ANTONIO DE GUERRA – The executive director of the National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI), Alberto Rodríguez Mella, delivered renovated courts and sports equipment to several schools, thanks to the support of the Los Angeles Dodgers Academy. The ceremony took place at the Mario Amador Amador Arts Center in this town.

Rodríguez Mella recalled the construction of the first school stadium in Guerra, highlighting the work of the Los Dodgers in the municipality of Santo Domingo and emphasizing the contribution of Jesús Negrete, president of the National Amateur Baseball Academy of the Dominican Republic.

Our goal is to promote the integral development of students through the improvement of sports spaces, by renovating the court, providing equipment and implementing strategic programs, we have come here to contribute to sports and physical education in this community.

The official emphasized the importance of the “Athletes with INEFI” and “Recreating in School” programs, which promote physical activity, recreation, and the formation of values in the educational community, in collaboration with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Ivelisse Cruz, director of the Centro en Artes Mario Amador Ámador, expressed her gratitude for the contribution of INEFI, assuring that the students will make the most of the renovated facilities.

At the event, Rodríguez Mella was accompanied by Franklin Duval, INEFI’s Deputy Director General; David Brito, president of the PRM National Sports Front and INEFI advisor; and Elvis Rodríguez, district director 10-07.

Also present were Major Claudio Pimentel, head of the School Police of the 10-07 district; Rodolfo Torres, president of the APMAE; and coordinators Ivonne Apataño and Teresa Moreno.

In addition to the Mario Amador Álvarez Arts Center, the educational centers Camila Ureña, Carmen Dilia Ortiz, Juan Julio Aurelio Blanchard, La Jovita Soriano, Centro Leonor M. Fettz and the Baní Concordia Educational Center participated.
