Dominican outfielder Juan Soto had an outstanding performance this Wednesday, hitting two solo home runs in the New York Mets’ 7-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
With this performance, Soto adds seven home runs this season and three RBIs in the game.
Soto’s first home run came in the sixth inning, a 427-foot shot to center field that broke the scoreless tie.
Later, in the eighth inning, he hit another home run, this time to left field, extending the Mets’ lead.
Kodai Senga also shined, throwing six scoreless innings, allowing only two hits and lowering his ERA to 1.16 on the season.
With this victory, the Mets secure the three-game series against the Diamondbacks and continue their participation in the National League East Division.
