San Lázaro Imposes its Domain in the TBS District 2025
Santo Domingo – Club San Lázaro demonstrated its power by defeating Huellas del Siglo with a score of 93-77 this Sunday, in the second match of the triple-header corresponding to the second date of the TBS Distrito 2025 regular season.
The San Lázaro offense was effectively distributed among several players, with five of them reaching 10 points or more. Anderson García, Lewis Duarte, and Anderson Mirambeaux led the attack, each contributing 14 points.
García, in addition to his points, grabbed nine rebounds, demonstrating his versatility on the court. AJ Bramah contributed 12 points and nine rebounds, while Victor Liz added 10 points to the scoreboard.
From Huellas del Siglo, imported players Timmy Bond and Emmanuel Egbuta were the top scorers with 21 points each. Juan Paez also stood out with 13 points and six rebounds.
After this day, San Lázaro, Los Prados, and Bameso have a record of 1-0. On the other hand, Mauricio Báez, El Millón, and Huellas del Siglo have a record of 0-1.
It is important to note that the San Lázaro and Mauricio Báez clubs are the only teams that have participated in this competition since 1974.
The match between San Lázaro and Huellas del Siglo took place in the Ricardo -Gioriver- Arias Volleyball Pavilion, located in the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center.
The TBS Distrito 2025 is organized by the Asociación de Baloncesto del Distrito Nacional (Abadina), presided over by Colonel (PN) Diego Pesqueira, and the Organizing Committee, headed by José Ignacio Paliza, Minister of the Presidency.
This year, the tournament is dedicated to Evaristo Pérez, Dominican Sports Immortal and former player of the national basketball team, as well as a former member of the San Carlos team.
