Robinson Canó Reaches 4,000 Hits and is Consecrated in Baseball

Dominican veteran Robinson Canó has reached a milestone in his career by hitting his 4,000th hit, during the third game of the King’s Series between the Diablos Rojos del México and the Charros de Jalisco. This crucial unstoppable brought the Red Devils closer to the possibility of obtaining the bicampeonato in the Mexican Baseball League (LMB).

I really didn’t know anything. About a month ago a friend told me I was a few hits short of 4,000, but I didn’t even remember it. When I connected the unstoppable and they asked for the ball from the dugout, that’s when I realized it. For me, the most important thing now is to win another championship with the team.

With this mark, Canó joins a select group of baseball legends, sharing recognition with Hall of Fame figures like Ty Cobb and Ichiro Suzuki, who also surpassed the 4,000-hit barrier. The Dominican player did not hide his gratitude towards the scarlet fans.

For me, the love they have shown me both in the team and in every stadium I visit is quite important. Seeing those fans supporting us anywhere is something that motivates us and I am very grateful to them.
