NEW YORK – The New York Mets face a new challenge following the confirmation of the injury to their outfielder, Luis Robert Jr. Robert Jr. will be placed on the injured list for 10 days due to a herniated disc in the lumbar area. The player underwent medical examinations after experiencing back discomfort that did not improve with initial treatment. After missing three consecutive games, the team decided to perform an MRI which revealed the injury.

As a result of this situation, pitcher Carl Edwards Jr. was designated for assignment, while Austin Warren and Eric Wagaman were promoted from Triple-A. The Mets will need to adjust their lineup while awaiting the recovery of one of their key figures in the outfield.
