The Dominican Baseball Selection is already at home!
Santo Domingo, RD. – The national team that will represent the Dominican Republic in the next World Baseball Classic landed on Dominican soil this Monday afternoon, generating great enthusiasm among fans and sports authorities. The team arrived at Las Américas International Airport on a private flight, marking the beginning of their preparation for the tournament. The Dominican team’s preparation schedule starts immediately. The first practice is scheduled for this Monday at 4:00 PM at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium. Access will be allowed for between 4,000 and 5,000 fans so they can share closely with the players and experience the atmosphere before the important international tournament. As part of their preparation, the Dominican Republic will play two exhibition games against the Detroit Tigers. The first will be played this Tuesday at 7:05 PM, and the second on Wednesday at 3:05 PM, both at the Quisqueya Stadium. The team’s arrival has ignited the passion for baseball throughout the country.
