Santo Domingo, R.D. – The Puerto Plata Mariners achieved a resounding victory over the Santo Domingo Lions with a final score of 100-93, in an exciting regular season match of the LNB Super League held this Friday at the San Carlos Club.
With this triumph, the Mariners secure the series against the Lions with a score of 2-0 and move up in the standings, placing them in fifth place with a 7-7 record. For their part, the Lions, with a record of 5-10, are in seventh position, awaiting a pending game.
The key to the Mariners’ triumph was their performance in the final quarter, where they limited the Lions to only 14 points, while they scored 31. The partial scores of the game were: 25-30, 29-28, 15-21 and 31-14, demonstrating the intensity and the reaction capacity of the Puerto Plata team.
Anderson García led the Mariners’ offense with a stellar performance, accumulating 19 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists, which earned him the title of the most efficient player of the match.
