PSG Advances Decisively in the French Cup

The Paris Saint-Germain, recent champion of the Intercontinental Cup, demonstrated its superiority and secured its place in the round of 32 of the French Cup. The Parisian team won with a score of 0-4 against Vendée Fontenay Foot, a team from the fifth division of French football, this Saturday.

The difference in level between both teams allowed coach Luis Enrique to make changes in the starting lineup and give opportunities to young promises. Among them, the debut of the Italian goalkeeper of Brazilian origin, Renato Marin, 19 years old, and the professional debut of the full-back David Boly, only 16 years old, stood out.

Boly’s debut, unfortunately, did not have the expected ending, as the young defender had to leave the field at 29 minutes due to a hard tackle.

By that point, PSG was already leading the match. Désiré Doué opened the scoring in the 25th minute thanks to an assist from Ousmane Dembélé. Dembélé himself increased the lead nine minutes later, converting a penalty committed on Portuguese striker Gonçalo Ramos.

In the second half, the Parisian team maintained its offensive aggressiveness. Ramos scored 0-3 in the 53rd minute, after receiving a cross from Senny Mayulu from the right wing. Not settling, PSG extended the thrashing five minutes later, again with a goal from Ramos, establishing the definitive 0-4.

With this victory, Paris Saint-Germain advances steadily in the Coupe de France, marking the beginning of their quest to conquer their third consecutive title in the competition.
