MIAMI – The renowned Dominican-born singer, Prince Royce, had the honor of throwing the first pitch in the highly anticipated match between the Dominican Republic and Venezuela during the 2026 World Baseball Classic.
The event took place at LoanDepot Park in Miami, where the artist was greeted with great enthusiasm by the thousands of fans present. This special moment was part of the pre-game ceremony, adding an emotional touch to the match between the two teams in the group stage of the international tournament.
In addition to Prince Royce’s performance, the ceremony also paid tribute to Dominican baseball legend Juan Marichal. The renowned former player made another ceremonial pitch, contributing to the festive atmosphere that characterized the Caribbean duel.
The match is part of Group D of the World Baseball Classic, a tournament that brings together 20 national teams. The competition is taking place in various venues, including Miami, Houston, San Juan, and Tokyo, between March 5 and 17.
