ONAPI promotes the protection of intellectual property in Dominican sports
Santo Domingo, D.N.- The National Office of Industrial Property (ONAPI), through its National Academy of Intellectual Property (ANPI), organized a crucial discussion for the development of the sports industry in the country. The main objective of the event was to discuss strategies to protect sports assets through industrial property. Luis Taveras, advisor to the Directorate of the National Baseball Commissioner, stated that this type of initiative strengthens inter-institutional unity, promoting the generation of knowledge and consolidating a culture of protection of ideas and innovation. In the discussion, key figures from ONAPI were present, including the Director of Inventions, Luisa Castillo; the head of the Distinctive Signs Department, Michelle Guzmán; the Director of Planning and Development, Rosa Virginia Almonte; the Legal Consultant, Ángel Veras; the advisor to the general directorate, Juan Toribio; and the head of Human Resources, Cristóbal Rodríguez.
