Luka Modric signs for AC Milan: A new chapter in his legendary career

Croatian midfielder Luka Modric, former Real Madrid player and winner of the Ballon d’Or in 2018, has announced his joining of AC Milan. The footballer arrives at the Italian team “very happy” to begin a new stage in his outstanding career. Through the club’s Instagram account, Modric expressed his first words as a ‘rossonero’ player: “Hello everyone, I have just landed in Milan (north). I am very happy to be here to start a new chapter in my career. A hug to all.” The Croatian’s contract will bind him to Milan until at least June 2026. Before signing, Modric will undergo the corresponding medical examinations. At almost 40 years old, Modric joins an AC Milan that has a new coach, Massimiliano Allegri, and is looking to rebuild after a complicated season in which it failed to qualify for European competitions. This project, focused on Serie A and the Italian Cup, will give him the opportunity to have an important role, which is key to his goal of participating in the World Cup with the Croatian national team.

One of the main reasons why Milan is betting on Modric is his leadership ability and experience within the locker room.

I spoke with him in person, I saw a man with a great desire to be competitive. His arrival is fundamental for a group that needs players like that, that needs leadership.

Tare also added:

The first question Luka asked me was ‘Will we be a team made to win the championship?’. He has won six Champions Leagues and wants to be a star player from the beginning, it is important for what he is going to transmit as mentality, leadership and professionalism.
