Franklin Mirabal Excited at Impacto Deportivo Anniversary
The renowned sports communicator Franklin Mirabal starred in an emotional moment during the celebration of the 34th anniversary of Impacto Deportivo. The occasion, marked by nostalgia and recognition, brought Mirabal to tears as he remembered his career and the support given to the new generations of sports journalism.The climax of the celebration arrived with the presence on stage of Sussy Jiménez, Karen Ozuna and Natacha Carolina Peña, three communicators whom Mirabal promoted in their beginnings and who today stand out in the media field. Mirabal recalled his beginnings at HIZ, where he requested an opportunity from Ramón Cuello, marking the beginning of his commitment to supporting colleagues. “I am proud to see Karen, Sussy and Natacha shine,” he added, visibly moved. The event also commemorated the 30th anniversary of the television version of Impacto Deportivo and its 34 years on radio, announcing the launch of “El Podcast Inteligente”, a new digital project that represents a new stage for the program. During the celebration, new talents who are joining the team were presented: David Terrero as a basketball analyst and Stewart Hernández for the podcast. Impacto Deportivo has left its mark on stations such as HIZ, Onda Musical and Radio Continental, standing out on Rumba 98.5, Zol 106.1 and currently on Caliente 104.1 FM. On television, the program has been broadcast on various channels, from Telesistema, Canal 11, to CDN Deportes. Throughout a career spanning almost 39 years, Franklin Mirabal has been recognized with around 37 awards, solidifying his position as a key figure in Dominican sports journalism.
