Alonso, Lindor, and Soto: Power Trio at Citi Field
In a historic game for the Mets, Pete Alonso, Francisco Lindor, and Juan Soto showcased their offensive power by hitting home runs in the same game. This event, which marked a milestone since they joined as teammates, propelled the Mets to a 5-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies, in front of a crowd of 43,224 fans at Citi Field.
The stellar trio was the engine of all the team’s runs in this three-game sweep. This triumph returns the Mets to first place in the National League East, just before facing a crucial four-game series against the Dodgers in Los Angeles.
“We envisioned it from the start. Having those three at the top of the lineup is something quite special,” commented manager Carlos Mendoza.

The offensive began in the fourth inning, with a three-run homer by Alonso. Lindor followed in the fifth, breaking the tie with a solo home run. Soto sealed the victory in the eighth with a hit that demonstrated his skill.
With these home runs, Alonso reached 12 for the season, Lindor 13, and Soto 10. In addition, Alonso’s hit allowed him to move up to fourth place in Mets history in RBIs, with 632, surpassing Howard Johnson.
“We’re going to get hot, and it’s going to be exciting when that happens,” Alonso assured.

Lindor continues to excel at home, where he has connected 11 of his 13 home runs of the season, with a batting average of .355 and an OPS of 1.064. His home run on Sunday placed him in fourth place historically among shortstops with 261, surpassing Derek Jeter.
Soto, for his part, connected a home run for the second consecutive game, demonstrating his offensive impact with a powerful 110 mph hit.On the mound, Clay Holmes pitched seven solid innings, contributing to the Mets closing out their home stand with a 7-2 record and a 37-22 overall mark.
“This isn’t just about the three of us,” Soto stated. “It’s about the whole team.”
