Following the dismissal of Xabi Alonso as Real Madrid’s coach, after the defeat in the Spanish Super Cup final, several players expressed their gratitude and support for the coach. Kylian Mbappé, one of the team’s leaders, shared a message on his social media along with a photograph with the Spanish coach.

Midfielder Arda Güler also dedicated a few words to Xabi Alonso, highlighting his influence on his professional development.

“Thank you for believing and trusting in me from day one. Every conversation and every demand helped me improve as a player. Your influence will always remain with me,” expressed the Turkish footballer.

Jesús Vallejo, currently at Albacete, commented in an interview that Xabi Alonso’s dismissal was unexpected for the squad.

“It was unexpected for everyone. Madrid competed until the end in the Super Cup and had chances to tie,” he pointed out.
