Real Madrid Beats Levante Amid Protests at the Bernabéu

Real Madrid achieved a 2-0 victory against Levante at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, a match marked by a tense atmosphere and protests from the fans.

The fans expressed their discontent with whistles directed at the team despite the victory.

The goals of the match came in the second half.

Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 58th minute. Raúl Asencio secured the victory with a header in the 66th minute, establishing the final 2-0.

The match was affected by the fans’ reaction, visibly upset by the team’s recent results.

In a span of eight days, Real Madrid lost the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona (3-2) and was eliminated from the Copa del Rey by Albacete (3-2).

To this was added the debut of Álvaro Arbeloa as coach, after the departure of Xabi Alonso.

From the warm-up, with a not completely full Bernabéu, the first whistles were heard, which intensified when the starting lineup was announced.

Vinícius Jr. and Jude Bellingham were the players most criticized by the fans, receiving constant whistles.

The start of the match did not calm the unrest. Without the anthem, whistles and handkerchiefs reappeared as a sign of disapproval. The club president, Florentino Pérez, was also the target of shouts demanding his resignation.

Despite the adverse environment, Real Madrid managed to add three points that momentarily alleviate the tension.
