Santo Domingo. The Club Atlético Tigres del Licey started its expected summer camp this Monday, June 30th.The event, which takes place at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium, will last for three weeks, culminating on July 18. Activities begin at 8:00 in the morning.Hundreds of boys and girls, from the age of five, have enrolled in the “Licey Summer Camp”. The initiative seeks to replicate the success of previous editions, which left unforgettable memories on the participants.

Miguel Ángel Fernández, former president and current treasurer of the club, was in charge of giving the welcome. In his speech, Fernández highlighted the importance of the values that baseball promotes.Cynthia Morillo, the team’s Director of Public Relations, also shared her expectations for this edition.Baseball is like life, it requires dedication, passion, perseverance, companionship and, above all, respect.

The camp will feature instruction from active players of the Tigres del Licey, led by Lisalverto Bonilla. The children will be organized by categories to facilitate learning.In addition to baseball practices, the camp will offer educational talks in collaboration with the local Major League Baseball office.Last year we achieved great things and this year we are going for more. We want your children to enjoy and learn with each dynamic we have prepared.
