LaLiga Reaches Record Revenue and Consolidates its Financial Position
LaLiga has announced a new financial milestone after the close of the 2024-2025 season, recording record revenues of 5.464 billion euros. This achievement represents an 8.1% growth compared to the previous season, according to the report presented by President Javier Tebas and Corporate Director Javier Gómez. The organization projects to exceed 5.7 billion in the current season and approach 6 billion for the 2026-2027 cycle, demonstrating sustained expansion.Unprecedented Commercial Boost and Assistance
The growth of LaLiga has been driven primarily by the increase in commercial revenue, which for the third consecutive year exceeded 1 billion euros, reaching 1.584 billion. In addition, the revenue generated by match days and stadium attendance marked historic figures, with more than 17 million spectators. In the sports field, transfer income also showed a significant increase, reaching 797 million euros, surpassing the 645 million of the previous season.Leadership in Young Talent Development
The report highlights LaLiga’s leadership in training young talent, with a market value of youth players estimated at 1.46 billion euros, representing 26.6% of the total. This figure is higher than that of other major European leagues.Investment and Financial Stability
Net investment amounted to 984 million euros, with an increase mainly allocated to infrastructure and stadium modernization. Net debt stood at 4.794 billion, while net equity reached 2.393 billion euros. The executives emphasized that the clubs maintain a financial structure aligned with UEFA regulations, with squad costs below 70%, which supports the sustainability of the model.Investor Confidence and Alert on the Premier League
Tebas highlighted that growth and stability have increased the interest of international investment funds in Spanish football. He also warned about possible inflationary risks in other leagues such as the Premier League.However, he warned of a possible “bubble” in English football due to new financial regulations, which could impact the economic balance of European football.“We are a sustainable league, with financial control and the ability to generate talent. That makes us attractive for investment,” the executive pointed out.
