Julio Rodríguez Leaves the Game After Being Hit by a Ground Ball

ANAHEIM, CA – Dominican outfielder Julio Rodríguez caused concern this Saturday by leaving the game between the Seattle Mariners and the Los Angeles Angels, due to a hard hit on his right ankle and shin.

The incident occurred when Rodriguez was attempting to steal third base in the third inning. A ground ball by Randy Arozarena hit the player, who was declared out.

The impact left Rodríguez visibly affected, requiring medical assistance to leave the field.

Manager Dan Wilson, along with other team members, assisted Rodriguez on the field, but the severity of the injury has not yet been determined.

Leody Taveras replaced Rodriguez in center field, facing defensive complications that allowed the Angels to score runs.
