Santo Domingo – The National Institute of Physical Education (Inefi) took its “National Tour of Delivery of Sports Equipment” to the border area of the Dominican Republic, directly impacting 10 educational centers.The initiative, which seeks to promote physical education and school sports at the national level, focused on Regional 18, specifically in the municipalities of Jimaní and Duvergé.
Official Delivery and Supervision
The official delivery took place at the Maria Trinidad Sanchez High School, with Cristian Hernandez, director of the Inefi Cabinet, representing the executive director, Alberto Rodriguez Mella. Hernandez also took the opportunity to inspect the local sports facilities, evaluating the progress of the organization’s programs and the needs of the student community.The institutional objective is to ensure that every boy, girl, and young person in the country, regardless of their geographical location, has the necessary tools for the dignified practice of school sports.

Distribution of Sports Equipment
The sports equipment was strategically distributed among several educational centers in the area.- In Jimaní: Liceo Máximo Gómez, Escuela Básica La 100, Martín Cuevas (Tierra Nueva) and Homero Trinidad Vólquez.
- In Duvergé: Liceo María Trinidad Sánchez, Nuestra Señora del Carmen, Las Mercedes, Manolo Perdomo, Filomena Pérez Pérez and José Cabrera.
Upcoming Deliveries
The Inefi plans to continue with these deliveries during June in Regional 09.- June 3: Mao (District 09-01) and Esperanza (District 09-02).
- June 9: Santiago Rodríguez and Sabaneta (District 09-03).
