San Francisco de Macorís – The Gigantes del Cibao have announced the incorporation of first baseman Jake Holton, coming from the Detroit Tigers organization, to reinforce the team in the upcoming season of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM).

Holton: An Offensive Reinforcement

Jake Holton, 27 years old, is a right-handed batter who plays first base. His recent performance in the Double-A category positions him as one of the most outstanding figures on his team during the 2025 season. In his last campaign, Holton achieved a batting average of .257, accumulating 29 doubles, 19 home runs, and 66 RBIs. In addition, he recorded an OPS of .828 and an OBP of .349, numbers that demonstrate his ability to get on base and produce runs in critical situations. The Giants’ new offensive reinforcement is characterized by his power on both lines, his discipline at the plate, and his solid defense at first base, qualities that make him a valuable contribution to the San Francisco de Macorís team.

Jake Holton is a player with good discipline, power, and a winning mentality. His offensive profile perfectly fits the type of player we are looking for to maintain a solid and competitive lineup. We are sure that he will be a great contribution to the club and a player that the fans will enjoy watching.
