Gigantes del Cibao Reveals Pitching Rotation for the Round Robin
San Francisco de Macorís – Gigantes del Cibao manager José Leger has announced the starting pitcher rotation for his team’s first three games in the crucial round-robin phase. The strategy focuses on experience to face this decisive stage of the tournament.
Leger has confirmed that right-hander Shane Greene will be in charge of opening the first game. The Giants will face the Toros del Este this Saturday 27th at the Francisco A. Micheli Stadium in La Romana. The game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
For the second commitment, scheduled for Sunday the 28th, the Giants will return to the Julián Javier Stadium. The left-hander Steve Moyers will take the responsibility of pitching against the Águilas Cibaeñas, in a duel that will begin at 5:00 in the afternoon.
The rotation will continue on Monday the 29th, again at the Julián Javier Stadium. Right-hander Daniel Mengden will be the starter against the Leones del Escogido, in a game that will begin at 7:30 at night.
After the December 30th game, the Dominican Professional Baseball League will take the traditional year-end break. The action of the Round Robin will resume on January 2, 2026.
With this rotation, José Leger seeks for the Gigantes del Cibao to start strong in the semifinal phase of the championship.
