Deyvison De los Santos Strengthens the Gigantes del Cibao in the Round Robin
San Francisco de Macorís – The Gigantes del Cibao have announced the return of Deyvison De los Santos to their roster. The player will rejoin the team this Wednesday, just in time for the game against the Leones del Escogido at the Julián Javier stadium, in the continuation of the Todos contra Todos of the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM).
De los Santos had finished his participation after the team qualified for the Round Robin, following the instructions of his Major League organization, the Miami Marlins.
However, the permission was extended thanks to the player’s own desire to return to the team, added to the efforts made by the management of the Gigantes del Cibao, facilitating his return in this phase of the championship.The 22-year-old player had an outstanding performance during the regular season, proving to be the most productive hitter on the Gigante team. In 42 games, De los Santos averaged .309, with an impressive OBP of .475 and an OPS of .840.
During that stage, he led the team with 43 hits, including six doubles, a triple, and five home runs, in addition to driving in 28 runs, being the Giants’ leader in multiple offensive categories. His defensive performance at first base was also highly valued by the coaching staff.
The return of De los Santos is a significant reinforcement for the Cibao Giants’ lineup and underscores the young talent’s high level of commitment to the organization and to the Giants’ cause.
