SAN FRANCISCO DE MACORÍS – Los Gigantes del Cibao achieved a resounding victory this Friday by defeating the Toros del Este with a score of 12-3, in a match corresponding to the 2025-26 autumn-winter baseball tournament, dedicated to Juan Marichal and in option for the Banreservas Cup. The Giants’ triumph ended a streak of three consecutive losses, setting their record at 12-16. On the other hand, the Toros del Este suffered their second consecutive loss.

Fulminating Offensive Attack

The Giants’ offense ignited in the second inning, where they scored seven runs. In this episode, ten batters faced the Toros’ pitching, connecting five hits, including a home run and a triple, in addition to three singles and two walks that destabilized the opposing pitchers. Samad Taylor and Frank Rodríguez stood out with home runs, contributing significantly to the Giants’ wide lead.

The match was marked by tension, with three incidents between players from both teams, adding drama to the encounter at the Julián Javier Stadium.
