Fedombal Successfully Concludes National Arbitration Clinic
The Dominican Basketball Federation (Fedombal), in collaboration with the Dominican College of Basketball Referees and Scorers (Codoabal), successfully concluded the XXVI National Recertification Clinic for National Referees and Aspirants. This event underscores the ongoing commitment of both institutions to continuous training, a fundamental pillar for the quality and stability of refereeing in Dominican basketball. The training day, held from January 16 to 18 in the conference hall of the Dominican Olympic Hostel (Alodom), in Ensanche La Fe, impacted more than 50 technicians from various regions of the country. Of these, 45 participated in the renewal of their national card, while eight referees sought promotion from regional to national license.The president of Fedombal, engineer Rafael Uribe, emphasized the importance of continuous preparation for the correct application of basketball rules. In addition, he urged the referees to maintain a permanent process of training and updating. Uribe was accompanied by the vice president of the entity, Junior Páez (Jipy). The sessions were led by instructors Ambiorix Cruz and Paola Cuello, from Santiago, along with Reynaldo Mercedes, from Moca, Espaillat province. The new regulations, changes, and updates to the FIBA regulations were addressed.Constant preparation is the basis for the correct application of basketball rules.
