SAN PEDRO DE MACORÍS – Las Estrellas Orientales made significant adjustments to their coaching staff this Thursday, with the aim of optimizing their performance in the 2025-26 season of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM).

Strategic Movements in the Coaching Staff

The team announced a series of changes designed to strengthen its work structure. Carlos Paulino was promoted to bench coach, assuming a key role alongside manager Fernando Tatis, replacing Wilton Veras. Following this modification, Javier Roa was appointed as the new catching coach, a position previously held by Paulino.In addition, Ronald Ramírez will leave his position as third base coach to become assistant manager, replacing Miguel Bernard. Claudio Almonte, for his part, will move from first base coach to third base coach, and Elvis Peña will take his place at first base.

Current Situation in the Standings

The Estrellas Orientales (10-14) are currently in fifth place in the tournament. They are only half a game behind the Tigres del Licey (9-12), who occupy fourth place, the last spot for the Round Robin. They are also one game behind the Escogido (10-12), in third place, and half a game behind the Toros del Este (10-11), located in second place.The Águilas Cibaeñas lead the championship with a solid 17-3 record, in a Regular Series consisting of 50 games for each team.
