Victor Estevez Ascends to the Major Leagues as Coach
LA ROMANA – Víctor Estévez, after almost 14 years of experience in the minor leagues with the Milwaukee Brewers, has been announced as the new coach of the Washington Nationals, marking a milestone in his professional career. The leader of the Toros del Este, assumes the role of third base and infield coach, in addition to coordinating base running, which represents a significant advance in his baseball career. At 37 years old, Estévez ends his time in the Milwaukee organization, where he started as a coach in the Dominican Summer League, and then held managerial roles at different levels of minor leagues, including Class A. His appointment with the Nationals is the result of a process of dedication and perseverance, in his own words.In his first season as manager of the Toros del Este, Estévez has positioned the team in a prominent place, securing second place and with high possibilities of advancing to the postseason. If he achieves it, it would be his second qualification in the LIDOM, after having led the Escogido to the Round Robin. Estévez also expressed his gratitude to the Milwaukee Brewers, who gave him his first professional opportunity after being signed as a player by the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Toros del Este will return to the field tonight, facing the Estrellas Orientales at 7:30 p.m. at the Francisco A.
