Tyler Eppler Returns to Toros del Este for His Fourth Season

La Romana – Los Toros del Este will have the return of the American pitcher Tyler Eppler for his fourth season with the team, according to Jesús Mejía, general manager of the club. Eppler has been a constant element on the team, participating in the 2018-19, 2021-22, and 2023-24 seasons. In his three previous seasons, the right-hander has compiled a 4-3 record with a 3.05 ERA in 10 games, 8 of them as a starter. In 38.1 innings pitched, he has allowed 37 hits, given up only 5 walks and struck out 34 batters, with a WHIP of 1.10.

“He’s another solid pitcher, with experience in LIDOM, which guarantees us quality starts and rounds out the rotation to start the season,” declared the bullfighting executive about the 32-year-old pitcher who will be there from day one and is contracted for the first half of the season.

This Monday, the Bulls began their “Early Camp” with 40 players in the Corral, including reliever Jorge Bautista. The team’s full training sessions are scheduled for next Monday, with the expectation of the incorporation of key players for the start of the season. The 2025-26 season of the Toros will be dedicated to the immortal Juan Marichal and will begin on October 15 in San Pedro de Macorís.
