Dominican Republic Scores Big in the Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers

The Dominican Republic Women’s U-17 National Team started their participation in the 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers on the right foot, convincingly defeating Dominica with a score of 7-0. The match took place at the Miguel Chocorrón Buitriago Stadium in Nicaragua. The scorers of the goals that secured the Dominican victory were Caelyn Jiménez (8′, 47′), Blair Vera (21′), Giocarla Durán (40′, 45’+1′) and Jabes Martínez (79′, 90′). The Dominican team is part of Group A, along with Belize, U.S. Virgin Islands, Dominica, and host Nicaragua.

The Dominican selection will continue its participation with the following matches:
  • Against U.S. Virgin Islands, Monday, January 26th at 6:00 PM.
  • Against Belize, Friday, January 30th at 9:00 PM.
  • Against Nicaragua, Sunday, February 1st at 9:00 PM. (RD Time)
In this edition of the Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers, 29 national teams compete, divided into six groups. The teams that finish in first place in each group and the two best second-place teams will advance to the final phase of the tournament, the Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship. Canada, United States, Mexico, and Puerto Rico are already directly classified for the final round, due to their position in the Concacaf Ranking.
