Dominican Karting: 2026 National Championship Kicks Off Successfully with Star Drivers

SANTO DOMINGO – The Dominican Karting Club (CDCK) successfully inaugurated the 2026 national karting championship. The event, held on March 8 at the United Petroleum Kartódromo, brought together a large number of drivers in all participating categories. Endorsed by the Dominican Federation of Automobilism (FDA), this event marks the beginning of a season consisting of six dates, using two different circuits.

Great unity and enthusiasm have been demonstrated among the drivers to start the season. The attendance was massive and makes it clear that everyone is committed from the start.

The championship will take place on the Grupo Alonso track and will alternate competitions at the renovated karting circuit of the Autódromo Internacional Las Américas, a novelty for many drivers debuting in the discipline.

The first date featured the participation of international pilots, raising the level of competitiveness. Below are the results of the categories:

  • MINI FDA: Shamir Licairac, Alaia Medina, and Nicolás Benito Ramos.
  • Rotax Master: Juan Carlos Leroux, Din Arredondo, and Dionisio Espejo.
  • Senior Max: Manuel Troncoso, Juanki Leroux, and Jorge Leroux Jr.
  • Vortex VRL: Axel Cabrera, Raymi Guzmán Jr., and Manuel Troncoso.
  • T4 Tillotson: Michael Tatis, Froilan Varela, and Raúl Auccatoma.
  • Amateur: Ángel Jumbo and Juan Bobadilla.
  • T4 Junior: Carlos Israel Díaz, Valentina Helena, and Alonso Bonetti.
  • T4 Mini: Alaia Medina, Cesar Campos, and Shamir Licairac.
  • Kid Kart: Fernando Reyes, Víctor Madera, and Gabriel Arturo Pineda.
The next competition of the national karting championship is scheduled for April 19 at the Las Américas International Autodrome, where the participation of renowned drivers is anticipated.
