The Colombian delegation is ready to compete in the XX Bolivarian Games, which will take place in Lima and Ayacucho, Peru, from this Saturday until December 7th. A total of 430 athletes will represent Colombia in this important competition. The Colombian team boasts a prominent presence of high-performance athletes, including three Olympic medalists and three world champions, which generates high expectations for the country’s performance in the games.

Clear Objectives for the Colombian Delegation

The Colombian delegation will seek to repeat the successes obtained in previous editions of the Bolivarian Games, specifically the titles won in Trujillo (Peru) in 2013, Santa Marta (Colombia) in 2017 and Valledupar (Colombia) in 2022. For his part, López, winner of the silver medal in Paris and current world champion, is one of the key figures for the competitions in Peru. In addition to Rentería and López, the delegation includes the participation of Mari Leivis Sánchez, silver medalist in the 2024 Olympic Games, as well as other outstanding athletes such as Eider Arévalo, world champion in race walking, and Kevin Quintero, winner of the keirin at the Track Cycling World Championships. The Colombian delegation also includes Valeria Arboleda, bronze medalist at the World Boxing Championships, and Natalia Linares, who won bronze at the World Athletics Championships.
