Santiago. – In an exciting encounter of the Clásico Cibaeño, Cibao FC and MOCA FC ended in a 0-0 draw in the second leg of the Dominican Republic Football League (LDF) Cup 2025. This result secures a place in the final for the orange team, thanks to their 2-0 victory in the first leg held at the Cibao Stadium in Santiago.

From the initial whistle, the aurinegros demonstrated their offensive ambitions. At minute 20, Valentín Sabella generated a dangerous situation with a loose ball in the area, although his shot went wide of the local goal.

Cibao FC’s response materialized in the 27th minute, when goalkeeper Pascual Ramírez made an outstanding save to keep the score tied. Five minutes later, Michael Chala tried with a powerful shot that was well controlled by Miguel Lloyd, maintaining the 0-0 at halftime.

In the second half, Pascual Ramírez continued his outstanding performance with two consecutive saves in the 52nd and 54th minutes. MOCA FC persisted with arrivals by Junior Francisco in the 67th minute and Tairon Rodríguez in the 68th, but they failed to break the solid local defense.

With this global result of 2-0, Cibao FC secures a place in the 2025 LDF Cup final and now awaits the winner of the match between Delfines del Este and Atlético Pantoja to know their opponent for the title.
