Brazil’s coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has expressed his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo, following Portugal’s victory in the Nations League. The Italian coach highlighted the longevity and performance level of the Portuguese star.

“I am very happy for him. Cristiano is a football legend and continues to be a legend at his age because of his seriousness and professionalism. He remains at the highest level,” said ‘Carletto’ at a press conference.

Ancelotti, who currently manages the Brazilian national team, did not skimp on praise for Ronaldo, stating that the striker could play in any national team in the world due to his impressive physical and mental form.

The coach and the player coincided at Real Madrid between 2013 and 2015, a period in which they achieved important successes, including the conquest of the tenth Champions League for the club.

Brazil will face Paraguay this Tuesday in the sixteenth matchday of the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. The match will mark Ancelotti’s debut as coach of the ‘Canarinha’ on Brazilian soil.

The match could secure both teams’ qualification for the World Cup, if certain conditions are met in other matches of the day.

Furthermore, the match coincides with Ancelotti’s 66th birthday.
