Aderlin Rodríguez Returns to the Toros de Tijuana for the 2026 Season
Santiago, Dominican Republic – The star first baseman of the Águilas Cibaeñas, Aderlin Rodríguez, has been called up again by the Toros de Tijuana for the 2026 season of the Mexican Baseball League. This news comes after an outstanding performance by the player in the previous season, where he demonstrated his worth as one of the most consistent hitters in the circuit.
Rodríguez had an impressive 2025 summer season with the border team. In 89 games, the player took 375 official at-bats and connected 126 hits, which gave him a batting average of .336, placing him among the best in the tournament.
Rodríguez’s power was a key factor, especially with his 35 home runs, leading the league in home runs.
In addition to his impressive home run numbers, the Aguilucho slugger drove in 96 runs, scored 80, and received 16 walks. His performance also included 75 strikeouts, an on-base percentage (OBP) of .369, a slugging percentage of .696, and an outstanding OPS of 1.065.
The Tijuana Bulls will begin their preseason on March 9, under the direction of the experienced Panamanian manager Roberto Kelly.
With this new opportunity, Rodríguez will seek to maintain the high offensive level he demonstrated in the previous season, consolidating himself as a fundamental piece both in Mexico and in the lineup of the Águilas Cibaeñas during the Dominican winter season.
