The 2026 World Baseball Classic is preparing to be a transcendental event, not only because of the presence of established figures, but also because of the emergence of a new generation of players who will seek to leave their mark on the tournament. These young talents will compete against luminaries of the stature of Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge, in an event that promises strong emotions.
Among the emerging players, the Brazilian Leonardo Reginatto stands out, a 36-year-old third baseman, recognized as the most influential player in the history of the Classic qualifying tournaments. Reginatto has been fundamental in two Brazilian classifications and faces this edition as the last of his international career.
