The White House launches “Arcade”, a video game platform with Donald Trump’s political agenda

President Donald Trump’s administration has surprised by launching “Arcade,” a new digital platform that integrates the U.S. government’s political agenda into a series of retro-aesthetic video games. Through the Arcade.gov portal, users can interact with key proposals of the current administration using simple mechanics reminiscent of early console classics.

Video games inspired by border and social policies

The platform stands out for adapting campaign promises and public policies into playful experiences. Among the most relevant titles are:

  • Build the Wall: With mechanics inspired by the famous Tetris, the player must strategically place blocks to build the border wall and secure territorial boundaries.
  • Rio Run: Based on the traditional Snake game, the user patrols the Rio Grande area with the goal of intercepting border crossings, counting the actions as deportations.
  • Supply Line: A Tapper-style game where the player must manage a supply chain, removing food that does not meet the standards of the “Make America Healthy Again” initiative.
  • Flappy Bill: An adapted version that puts a bald eagle, the national symbol of the United States, to fly over the National Mall in Washington.
  • Trump Savings Tycoon: Focused on the savings program that provides contributions for children born during the second term, challenging the player to collect funds for the “Trump Accounts”.

The Arcade initiative seeks to transform traditional political communication into an interactive experience, connecting Government priorities with the public through digital entertainment.

A communication strategy with a nostalgic style

The presentation of this initiative has been accompanied by a visual campaign that evokes the nostalgia of consoles like PlayStation and Nintendo. With the slogan “Can’t stop winning”, the Government has released animations that present its policies under an 8 and 16-bit aesthetic. Furthermore, in certain promotional materials, they have adapted iconic industry logos, such as Sega’s, transforming it into the acronym “MAGA”, referring to the “Make America Great Again” slogan.

As reported by the administration, the main objective is to bring immigration, health, and economic programs closer to citizens in a dynamic and modern way. The platform has already confirmed that the offering of titles will grow soon, with the announcement of a sixth video game that will be added to the existing collection in the coming weeks.
