Santiago: Alias “Bebeco” dies after clash with the National Police
The city of Santiago was the scene of a police operation that culminated in the death of Jesús Alberto Aracena Castillo, popularly known as “Bebeco”. The 25-year-old, a native of San Francisco de Macorís, lost his life following an alleged exchange of gunfire with officers from the law enforcement agency in the Cienfuegos sector, specifically on Street 4 of West Santiago.
Criminal record and active search
Aracena Castillo was a priority target for the authorities, who kept him under active search due to an extensive criminal record. According to preliminary reports, “Bebeco” had 12 outstanding arrest warrants for various crimes. Likewise, he was unofficially linked to at least eight homicides, allegations that were being investigated by the competent judicial bodies.
The deceased was identified by authorities as being responsible for multiple criminal acts, including his alleged participation in eight violent deaths that remained under investigation.

Following the death, a video has gained relevance on social media in which an individual, allegedly identified as Aracena Castillo, is seen firing a firearm repeatedly in the presence of others. Although the images have circulated widely, the exact date and location where the audiovisual material was captured have not yet been determined with precision.
