The United States women’s volleyball team secured their spot in the semifinals of the Norceca Qualifying Championship after authoritatively defeating Puerto Rico in three consecutive sets (26-24, 25-15, and 25-17). The match, held at the Ricardo Gioriber Arias Volleyball Palace, made the tactical and physical superiority of the Americans on the court clear.
This triumph places the United States in a high-voltage clash against the Dominican Republic. The Queens of the Caribbean are preparing to face a rival that is on the rise, in a match that is considered an early final due to the quality of both squads.
Statistical mastery and prominent figures
The American offensive was led by Simone Lee, who stood out with 16 points, supported by a solid performance from Asjia O’Neal, who scored 12 points. The balance tipped in favor of the Americans thanks to their efficiency in the key fundamentals of the game:

- Serves: 3-2
On the Puerto Rico side, Paola Santiago and Annele Champion were the top scorers, recording eight points each in an effort that was not enough to contain the rival’s offense.
