Strengthening academic ties between UASD and the International University of Valencia

The Faculty of Humanities of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) took an important step towards the internationalization of its academic offerings. The dean, Dr. Ana Jacqueline Ureña, together with the vice-dean, Professor Eunice Vicioso, led a strategic meeting with representatives from the International University of Valencia, Spain.

The meeting was attended by doctors Amparo Oliver and José Manuel Tomás, specialists in the area of Statistics, accompanied by Evelyn Abreu, holder of a bachelor’s degree. The main objective of this visit was to build bridges of scientific and professional cooperation between both higher education institutions.

Key areas of collaboration

During the day, the academics discussed various initiatives aimed at raising the profile of the university community. Among the highlights for future projects are:

  • Constant updating of training processes for teachers and students.
  • Development of joint research in various areas of knowledge.
  • Exchange of pedagogical methodologies and best practices.
  • Organization of international seminars, conferences, and workshops.

This type of meeting contributes to strengthening the presence of the UASD in international cooperation scenarios and opens possibilities for the creation of new initiatives for the benefit of students, professors, and researchers.
