Two youths involved in aggravated robbery arrested in La Vega
National Police agents managed to capture two young men who were actively sought by the authorities after being identified in a case of aggravated robbery and criminal association that occurred in the province of La Vega.
The detainees were identified by the authorities as Main Arismendy Guzmán Peralta, 21, and José Rafael Pérez Holguín, popularly known as El Toro, 22. The capture was executed by the Operations team of the Regional Sub-directorate of Investigations of the National Police, in compliance with arrest warrant number 2026-AJ0071261, issued on August 19, 2026.
Judicial process details
According to the official report, both individuals were wanted for their alleged responsibility in crimes committed against citizen Carmen Delia Núñez Abreu. The file presented by the Public Prosecutor’s Office links the young men to the violation of articles 265, 266, 379, 382, and 383 of the Dominican Penal Code, which classify the crimes of criminal association and various forms of robbery.
The detainees will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office to face the corresponding legal proceedings before the provincial courts.
So far, the law enforcement institution has not offered additional details regarding the exact circumstances in which the criminal act occurred or the level of individual participation of each of those involved. It is expected that in the coming hours, a coercive measure will be imposed on them to continue with the due judicial process.
