Spreen seeks to break the Guinness record with a giant alfajor in Buenos Aires
The renowned Argentine streamer Iván Buhajeruk, popularly known as “Spreen”, is preparing for a monumental challenge this Saturday, September 5th. The content creator will attempt to set a new Guinness World Record by crafting the world’s largest alfajor, thereby surpassing the historic mark of 464 kilograms held by Uruguay since 2010.
The event will take place at the iconic Plaza Naciones Unidas, located in the Recoleta neighborhood, in front of the Floralis Genérica. This initiative is part of the activities of the Cafecito event, organized by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, and it is expected to bring together more than 5,000 people for a day that promises to be historic.
Ingredients of a culinary feat
To achieve the official Guinness World Records certification, the preparation logistics are on a large scale. The organizers have arranged an impressive amount of supplies for the creation of this massive alfajor:
- 1,400 kilograms of dulce de leche.
- 800 kilograms of flour.
- 400 kilograms of chocolate.
- 400 kilograms of base raw material.
- More than 250 egg cartons.
- 100 kilograms of honey.
From screens to markets
Iván Buhajeruk, 25 years old and a native of Santa Fe, has consolidated an impressive career in the digital world, accumulating more than 10 million followers on Twitch and another 7 million on YouTube. However, his facet as an entrepreneur has recently gained strength. Together with his partner Nicolás Esmede, he launched the GIGA alfajor brand, a product that caused a sensation after selling out 300,000 units in just 48 hours during its launch in the Argentine capital.
I always worked by being close to the people. This challenge is a way to take that to something huge, literally.

An official Guinness World Records judge will be present throughout the day to oversee the weighing and verify that the piece meets all the standards required to be awarded the world title. Regarding the experience, the streamer emphasized his desire to connect with his audience: “It’s going to be a party, and I want people to experience it in person, not find out about it later through a video.”
