Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs returns to solitary confinement in federal prison
Music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been moved back to the special housing unit at the federal prison FCI Fort Dix. This decision follows recent revelations regarding alleged privileges and an unconventional lifestyle that the inmate was maintaining within the correctional facility.
According to reports obtained by Alofoke Deportes, prison authorities have opted for solitary confinement as part of a standard procedure while an internal investigation is underway. The goal is to clarify allegations regarding Combs’ access to benefits that would violate facility rules.
Privilege complaints under investigation
The controversy arises following reports indicating that the artist enjoyed unusual amenities for an inmate. Among the most serious allegations are:
- Access to contraband cell phones.
- Personal services performed by other inmates, including cleaning toilets and preparing specific foods such as chicken curry and pizza.
- Use of significant funds deposited in their prison accounts to maintain a privileged standard of living.
This is not the first period the producer has spent in isolation. Previously, in July, he was sent to this unit after being involved in a physical altercation within the facility, which resulted in severe restrictions on movement and social contact.
Legal situation and conviction
Sean Combs was sentenced in 2025 to 50 months in federal prison after being found guilty of two counts related to transporting individuals across state lines for the purpose of prostitution. Although he was acquitted of the more serious charges of racketeering and human trafficking, his time in prison has been marked by constant incidents.
Currently, Federal Bureau of Prisons records indicate that his release date is scheduled for January 21, 2028. This schedule has undergone various modifications since the initial sentence was handed down.
